Key findings highlight how Africa’s urban population is expected to double, reaching 1.4 billion by 2050, with 64% of the population living in urban areas. The report stresses the importance of effective governance, innovative urban planning, and sustainable financing to manage this rapid expansion.

Urban growth presents significant challenges, such as the need for improved infrastructure, housing, and services. However, with proactive planning and investment, African cities can become engines of inclusive economic growth and resilience.
