More than 160 citizens were interviewed on-site about city services and digital platform preferences during Jordan’s Independence Day celebrations across Amman as part of the “Amman is Listening” project. The goal of the activity was to expand the project’s outreach through both field activities and digital engagement.
Citizens were surveyed across five major Independence Day events, including at Hashemite Plaza, Queen Rania Park, and King Abdullah II Park.

These are some insights from the survey:
- 90% of participants showed interested in a mobile app showcasing services within a 15-minute walking distance.
- 72% also preferred receiving updates on neighborhood projects.
- When asked about civic participation through digital platforms, 80% expressed willingness to contribute ideas or vote on local initiatives via the platform.
- Participants named social media as the top source of information about local events.

These insights will be essential to leverage while planning future activities and events. The Amman is Listening project will continue to combine in-person engagement with digital tools to engage more citizens and utilize their feedback in future activities.
