The Daring Cities 2024 Outcomes Report was released in January 2025, showcasing key insights from the fifth edition of the Daring Cities event platform, convened by ICLEI and the Federal City of Bonn, Germany. Held under the theme “Powering collective action to respond to the climate emergency”, it united local and regional leaders to advance multilevel climate action.

Key report highlights include: the organization of the first CHAMP Endorsers Roundtable, where national local government associations from Germany, Brazil, and the USA pledged their support; and the promotion of the Town Hall COPs initiative as a key mechanism linking local climate efforts to global action. Daring Cities 2024 also produced findings and insights that guided ICLEI’s contributions at COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, in November 2024.
The report outcomes reinforce that cities and regions must lead with bold, inclusive, and integrated climate strategies.
