UNDP and UCLG organized the event “Improving the lives of women: concrete actions by local governments” on 13 March 2025 in New York, USA on the occasion of the Sixty-seventh session of the Commission on the Status of Women.
Taking place as part of the “Local government day”, the session showcased innovative municipal policies that promoted gender equality and women’s empowerment. It featured concrete initiatives aimed at achieving SDG 5, enhancing women’s economic autonomy, reducing gender violence, and integrating gender perspectives into public governance.
