Local and regional governments are at the heart of the global push to accelerate the 2030 Agenda. Every day, cities and territories design innovative solutions, deliver essential services, and build partnerships that make the Sustainable Development Goals a lived reality for their communities.
The constituency of local and regional governments will gather at the UCLG World Congress in Tangier from 22 to 25 June 2026, with more than 5000 mayors, governors and members of local government associations expected to participate. This provides an excellent occasion to showcase how local governments are leading the implementation of the Agenda 2030 with creative approaches, and transformative practices from across the world.
The Congress will count with a dedicated space, the SDG Corner, to showcase how local governments are contributing to SDG implementation through innovative public service delivery.
