HOW DOES IT WORK

UNDP RUNS PROCUREMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY

UNDP supports the city to get the services and goods needed for project implementation. These are the steps to request procurement services:

  • The Project Manager, together with the city´s team, prepares the Terms of Reference (TORs) for each one of the contracts .
  • UNDP has a TOR library available with models and formats to inspire TOR elaboration.
  • Each TOR needs to be sent individually in a separate email, to avoid processes being lost in different emails.
  • The email needs to have the number of the operation in the Subject. The operation number needs to correspond to the one in the project Procurement Plan. For example 12.3.3….8.4.2 etc.
  • The email needs to be sent to our colleague Intissar for logging and assigning to a colleague within the Operations team.
  • The operations team will contact the city if there are questions on the TOR contents, and will conduct the procurement process, including publication, provider selection and contracting, keeping the city informed through the system in Microsoft List.
  • Once the contract is signed, the city is responsible to follow up on service delivery by providers.
