Metropolis, through its International Fund, is offering grants of up to €100,000 to municipalities to enhance care systems and support caregivers. These grants will empower cities to develop and implement innovative solutions that prioritize policymaking focused on reducing gender inequalities and addressing the needs of caregivers, particularly from migrant, refugee, and internally displaced communities.
Local governments from North Africa, the Middle East, Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, and Eastern Europe are invited to apply. Access the application guide in English and French.
Apply here until 29 November 2024, at 5:00 PM (CET).

Applications can be of pilot projects introducing new approaches, scaling successful initiatives, or expanding outreach to marginalized communities. Successful applications are ones recognizing caregiving as central to urban policy, and prioritizing more equitable sharing of care work.
This initiative supports caregivers who are often at the heart of communities, ensuring they are better recognized, supported, and integrated into broader societal structures.
