In November 2024, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) introduced their new Local Data Portal, a platform that allows users to visualize and compare data across 41 countries, from more than 225,000 municipalities and local areas, and with over 100 indicators covering 10 themes such as demography, climate, environment, transport, and economy.

The portal supports local governments, policymakers, and researchers to make informed decisions and address key challenges at the local level. Users can explore trends and compare regional data to identify areas for improvement and policy development.
OECD was established in 1960 and collaborates with governments, policymakers, and citizens to develop evidence-based standards and solutions for economic, social, and environmental challenges.
