OECD’S TOOLKIT ON SDG LOCALIZATION

OECD, the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development, has released the “Toolkit for a territorial approach to the SDGs“, designed as a user-friendly checklist to assist policy-makers in implementing and localizing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in a city, region or country.

The toolkit features lessons from policy dialogues on localizing the SDGs, and offers practical recommendations derived from the experiences of 50 local governments. It covers key areas such as policies and strategies, multi-level governance, financing and budgeting, data and information, and public engagement. It includes a self-assessment tool for cities and regions looking to adopt a localized approach to the SDGs.

The toolkit is a resource for policy-makers at all levels of government who are interested in learning from peers and international best practices.
