The UrbanShift Africa Forum 2025 will take place on 17-21 February in Nairobi and bring together 250 participants from over 30 cities to address the challenges of rapid urbanization and climate change in Africa. Organized by UrbanShift and hosted by C40 Cities, the forum will feature contributions from UNEP, ICLEI, WRI, and other key partners.
The event will provide a platform for mayors, city officials, financiers, businesses, and civil society organizations to exchange knowledge, explore investment opportunities, and advance ambitious urban climate strategies.
Attendance is by invitation only. If you have any questions, please email africaforum (at) c40.org.
Discussions will focus on resilience, sustainable infrastructure, and innovative solutions to urban growth challenges.
The event will also offer technical sessions on urban growth, circular economy, and sustainable neighborhood development to equip city leaders with the tools and expertise needed to implement climate-resilient policies across the continent.
As Africa’s cities navigate the pressures of urban expansion and climate vulnerability, the UrbanShift Africa Forum 2025 will serve as an opportunity for decision-makers to align policies, resources, and investments toward a greener, more resilient future, and will provide networking moments to foster partnerships that can drive meaningful change across the continent.
