Rapid growth has strained Yerevan’s transport network, leaving many residents with long commutes and unequal access to jobs, schools and healthcare. The city is building a new road and bridge that link key residential districts directly to its main road network. The project is designed not only to ease traffic but to improve access to services, combining the new crossing with pedestrian-friendly design, safer traffic management and lower-emission planning. This planned urban connectivity project is in development and includes a proposed road and bridge connection designed to shorten travel distances, ease congestion, and improve accessibility across various parts of Yerevan.
